UX Research & Strategy, Designed.

I'm a UX researcher and strategist who works at the intersection of user insight and operational complexity — helping product and platform teams build internal tools that are clear, scalable, and grounded in how people actually work.

My focus is on systems-led design, stakeholder alignment, and platform clarity — with a particular emphasis on accessibility and high-stakes, data-rich environments where getting the experience right has real consequences.

More About Me

I'm currently a UX Researcher and Designer at RTX, a Fortune 100 aerospace and defense company, where I work on the Product Strategy and Design team within Digital Technology.

I've spent my career at the intersection of systems thinking and human behavior — starting in literary analysis and web design before finding my footing in UX research and strategy. That winding path turned out to be an asset: I came to this work already fluent in reading what's underneath surface assumptions and naming the frame that reorganizes everything.

Today I work primarily on internal platforms and enterprise tools — the complex, high-stakes environments where clarity isn't a nice-to-have. Outside of my day-to-day work at RTX, I serve on the board of directors for the American Solar Energy Society and am part of the Women Techmakers community.

Right now I'm focused on advancing UX maturity within RTX's Digital Technology department — building the internal foundation for research-led, user-centered practice at scale. It's the kind of work that compounds quietly and matters a lot.

I'm based in Denver, Colorado.

“Sam is the kind of teacher who changes the way you see your own potential. From day one, she made me feel heard, understood, and motivated to keep learning—even after the course ended.”

Advancing UX Practice

I'm committed to growing the UX discipline — not just within my own work, but across the teams, communities, and organizations I'm a part of.

I taught UX Research & Design with Memorisely for a few years, and currently serve as a Women Techmakers Ambassador, advocating for inclusive and data-driven design practices. In my current role at RTX, I work in a formal capacity to advance UX maturity across the Digital Technology department — helping build the internal foundation for research-led, user-centered decision making at scale.

My community engagement extends beyond UX into the spaces where design thinking has the most to offer — including my work as a board member of the American Solar Energy Society, where design, sustainability, and emerging technology intersect.
